Here is a screenshot from my animation that I created through adobe animate. Showing it during my peer critique, one of my classmates mentioned that the first word, GROW looked like CROW to her. Looking at it more now I can see that now. I think I'll change that to be lowercase letters instead or possibly changing the font.
Creating this animation was tough for me because I have never used Animate before. I watched multiple YouTube tutorials and had a lot of trial and error. After creating this gif I feel a little more comfortable with the program but I still feel like it's complicated to start. Finding those YouTube tutorials was very helpful for me because I learned how to import images from Photoshop which is what I did for the flowers. Most of the tools are the same as they are in Photoshop, so I'm thankful that I have a good understanding of that program.
Here is a screenshot from my portfolio. I haven't gotten as far as I wanted to so far, but I at least have all the text and images that I want to put in there. I asked my peers what I should do about a background and the text and they said that typically white isn't the best option because it makes it a little tough to read on the web. They also said I should showcase the final project first so that the reader knows what they're seeing. This is the first portfolio that I've made so I'm still trying to figure out what I want my style to be.
